Sea horse’s eggs are a real delicacy in Old Sealand but there is a difference. The eggs from ‘normal’ brown sea horses are often eaten by the middle class in contrast to the eggs from the red sea horse who are very expensive and thus only eaten by rich people.

 

Price

The brown ones cost 30 euro for 50 grams, the blue ones 60 euros and the red ones are very expensive. They cost 100 euros.

 

Promotion​

The advertisements depend on the price. You can find promotion for the brown ones in advertisement flyers from the supermarkets. The brown and blue eggs are available during the whole year. Red eggs are only available from april till September. Red and blue eggs are advertised in luxury magazines.

 

Place

The brown ones are available in your local supermarket. You can find the blue and red eggs in specialist stores. We are the only country that offers this delicacy so a lot of other countries import the eggs from Old Sealand.
